The .alm format is an ATSAS-internal binary file used to store precomputed partial scattering amplitudes. A reference to the model file used to calculate the .alm is stored together with the data. This source model is also required for most uses of .alm files.

Applications that read .alm:

  • bunch - Rigid body modelling of multidomain proteins.
  • globsymm - Modelling of oligomeric structures.
  • sasref - Modelling of multisubunit complexes.

Applications that write .alm:

  • crysol - Calculates X-ray scattering patterns from atomic structures
  • cryson - Calculates neutron scattering patterns from atomic structures.
